    cozy family room
    serene atmosphere
    awkward dining experience

The family room was cozy enough for a little family cuddle, and the presentation of meals was artful. The atmosphere felt so serene, we almost forgot about the chaos of everyday life.

Futons out feel like an awkward game of Tetris, and the low table dining made my legs feel like an overcooked noodle. Who knew sitting on the floor could be a workout?

great ambiance but a tight fit

The kaiseki dinner served in our room was a delightful experience! We especially loved the fresh and artfully presented dishes during breakfast, making each meal a true highlight of our stay. The peaceful setting provided a perfect escape, allowing us to stroll by the canal in our yukatas, feeling completely immersed in the culture.

    convenient location
    private garden
    uncomfortable seating
    cozy accommodations

The ryokan is conveniently located in the charming Bikan Historical Quarter, close to the train station. The accommodations are clean and comfortable, and the private garden was a lovely touch. While the meals were quite delightful, with beautifully presented dishes, the sitting arrangements took some getting used to. Overall, a pleasant and authentic Japanese experience.

    authentic yukata

    Couple's dreamy experience

The yukatas they gave us were just very nice! Perfect for the photos and felt so authentic. The staff treated us like royalty, bringing us traditional meals that were just bursting with flavor, I mean, the dinner was delicious, and they even had a private bath for us.

It wasn’t cheap, but honestly, worth every penny.

    cozy family room
    beautifully presented meals
    serene atmosphere
    tight sleeping space
    snug fit futons

The Japanese-Style Quadruple Room was cozy for our family of four, but it did get a bit tight once the futons were laid out. Meals were amazing, especially how beautifully they were presented. The atmosphere in the ryokan was serene and beautiful, making our stay enjoyable despite the snug fit.

    idyllic location
    limited seating in room

The ryokan's location is truly stunning, nestled in the heart of Kurashiki's historic quarter, providing a quiet and picturesque setting perfect for exploring.

After a long day of travel, we found it a bit uncomfortable that there was nowhere to sit or lie down for a rest before dinner. laying out the futons might have been helpful.

A Charming Traditional Experience in Kurashiki

Staying here felt like stepping into a storybook. The serene atmosphere and attentive staff made our evening special. We enjoyed authentic kaiseki breakfast that provided a delightful taste of Japanese culture. For dinner, don't miss the nearby curry place 'Kappa' – an unforgettable recommendation! A must-visit if you crave an authentic ryokan experience.
